Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Structural Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Structural Engineering and Design, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating safe, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing structures. As a Structural Designer, you will be responsible for developing detailed designs and plans for a variety of structures, including buildings and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with Engineers to ensure that all designs meet the necessary specifications and standards. Your role will involve using advanced software tools to create and analyse structural models, as well as conducting site visits to assess project feasibility and progress. You will also be responsible for preparing detailed reports and documentation, and for presenting your designs to clients and stakeholders.

Job Details

• Develop detailed structural designs and plans utilising software such as Tekla Structures.
• Collaborate with Engineers and Construction Teams.
• Use advanced software tools to create and analyse structural models.
• Conduct site visits to assess project feasibility and progress.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation.
• Present designs to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure all designs meet necessary specifications and standards.
• Review and approve design changes and modifications.

• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bids.
• Participate in project meetings and reviews.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate potential design risks.
• Provide input on material selection and construction methods.
• Ensure quality control and assurance throughout the design process.

Qualifications

• A degree in Structural Engineering or a related field is preferred.

Experience

• Previous experience in Structural Design or a similar role.
• Proficiency in design software such as Tekla Structures and CAD is essential.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
